Hahaha oh those cute little usb lightsabers remind me of my 2ft long Wii lightsaber.
I forgot the which title I had to use it for but I used to wield it like crazy.
Is Mr. Skywalker (or let’s just call him w/ the friendly name Darth V.) a usb hub? Guess he has his eyes flashing when a usb machine is transferring data.
Not only that: according to the product description: “Eyes glow, head turns, and Vader speaks when you insert a new USB device.” Assuming that it works at all: the obviously misaligned USB connections shown in the photograph don’t inspire confidence.
Which may be appropriate: in James Luceno’s novel Star Wars: Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, Vader thinks to himself that the emperor’s technicians have botched his initial reconstruction: “Long accustomed to building and rebuilding droids, supercharging the engines of landspeeders and starfighters, upgrading the mechanisms that controlled the first of his artificial limbs, he was dismayed by the incompetence of the medical droids responsible for his resurrection in Sidious’s lofty laboratory on Coruscant” (p. 57). You can read an excerpt here on Google Books. I like the book because it dramatizes the process by which the last vestiges of Anakin Skywalker are purged from Vader’s personality. (Yes, I’m a literature professor who reads Star Wars novels for fun (and sometimes work).
These are probably some of the more useful examples of Star Wars merchandise I have seen over the years.
I am looking into getting myself a Sith one (I have a soft spot for Lord Vader).

There are so many “cool” Star Wars things on the market that I’ve had to limit my Visa Card to a $25 spending maximum to control my online shopping. However, this USB port will look great next to my Storm Trooper desktop.
My favorite science-fiction-themed toaster is this one (because of the pun: in Battlestar Galactica, the Cylon robots are referred to by the humans as “toasters”). I resisted, however, the temptation to buy one (mostly due to lack of counter space).
