Yes, I'd imagine that a highly skilled surgeon is very important. Luckily, I have one!

Hi, I am just wondering how you are doing? I am a 37yr old who tore my ACL 20 years ago and never had it repaired and am supposed to have the same surgery as you have had. I am seeing David Mcallister from UCLA Med Center. I've read that you need a highly skilled surgeon for this procedure. How are you healing? Hope all is well!

I snapped my acl in 1988 didnt have it reattached.I am considering having the tibial osteotomy to realign the leg as i am bow legged which apears to be causing my knees to wear out.I am interested in your progress as I am 39 years of age and some surgeons in australia are hesitant to do this operation for a variety of reasons .

Yikes, this sounds much scarier than I had thought! Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery, and decades and decades more of having fun abusing that knee, Cyrus!
